It all began with a sawmill and three imaginative brothers in Rexburg, Idaho. Tanner, Brooks and Taylor Dame grew up working together in their grandfather’s sawmill and loving the great outdoors of Idaho. In 2010, the brothers created Proof Eyewear – a company that produces stylish, eco-friendly, handcrafted glasses and accessories. The company started from a pair of wooden sunglasses and has significantly grown into much more.
Now headquartered in Boise, Idaho with eight employees, Proof Eyewear creates fashionable products using sustainable materials like wood, recycled aluminum and repurposed skateboard decks for outdoor lovers of Idaho and around the world.
Although Proof Eyewear has drastically expanded, the brothers’ vision to share their success and give back has stayed the same. To fulfill this, the company created the “Do Good Program,” a program that allows Proof to donate 12% of their profits and participate in volunteer projects around the world. The Do Good Program has greatly benefited Nepal, India, The Philippines, El Salvador, Uganda and the Nature Conservancy in Idaho.
The Dame brothers are all proud of what they have accomplished and greatly appreciate all the support they have received from the community in Idaho. Growing up exploring the Gem State, learning what it means to work hard and give back to their community, the brothers stand confidently behind Proof Eyewear knowing each product has been Tested in Idaho.
